Sean- "The playability of the Pure Drive VS felt somewhere between a Pure Drive and a Pure Strike 16x19. Other notable comparisons would be the Prince Beast 98, Dunlop Srixon Revo CV 3.0 F Tour and Head Graphene Touch Radical Pro." Sacsde tennis. Des sacs et thermobags qui peuvent contenir 3, 6, 9 ou 12 raquettes, rangements thermoprotecteurs, portables en sacs à dos également. Ils seront assortis au reste de votre matériel. Tri. De A à Z. Overview Choosing a racket can be a daunting task these days. Currently, the top four manufacturers make over 90 different options for players to choose from. This can be confusing and frustrating for even the most avid and knowledgeable. player. Hopefully, this article can help you navigate the process. Many of the rackets look similar and have names that are just as similar which just makes things more confusing. There are three to four versions in every line that a company makes. Many of them look cosmetically identical and have names with subtle differentiation which can be confusing but also Understanding the different brands and models There are several companies that produce rackets today. Much like car companies, these brands offer at least one model for each category of playing level. Car companies offer options such as full-sized sedans, mid-sized sedans, compact sedans, sports cars, SUVs, and Pickup that directly compare to the models their rival brands produce. Just as the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord are mid-size sedans with similar specs, the Wilson Blade 98 and Head Radical MP share almost identical specs. This can also be helpful as you can get the category of racket that is best for you from almost any brand. You may have always played with and liked a certain model or brand of racket in the past. If you do and feel strongly about this preference, that’s great! Simply use the examples of racket models below based on playing level and pick out a couple that suits your needs and playtests them. The Racket of Your Favorite Player The rackets that the pros play with are not the rackets you can buy from your local dealer or online superstore. They are customized to the specifications of pros and usually not available to the general public. The pro’s rackets are painted to look like the rackets that are for sale. Even if you could get your hands on a pro’s racket you probably wouldn’t want to play with it anyway. They are too heavy and control-oriented for the average player. There are models available that look just like most pros rackets for every skill category and from every brand. As long as you pick a racket that is appropriate for your level you can use one that looks just like your favorite ATP or WTA pros. Your Teaching Pro or Coach’s Recommendation If you have a teaching pro or coach that can recommend a racket or at least help you with identifying your playing level that’s great. The pro probably knows your game better than you do. Take a recommendation from them and go with it. Don’t hesitate, it’s unlikely that they will send you in the wrong direction. Playtesting a Demo Racket Once you have figured out what racket category, racket brand and/or model of racket you think maybe ideal you should playtest a demo racket. We recommend that you playtest only one or two rackets at a time. It is very easy to confuse yourself by trying too many rackets at once. This is self-defeating as it can make the process more challenging. You can demo rackets from your local shop or one of the larger online retailers. They have programs that will directly ship you rackets along with a return address label. One note on demoing rackets is to keep things consistent. If you are used to playing with a specific type of string or grip on a racket you should try to get the demo strung and gripped identically to your current racket. This cuts down the variables of using a new racket and makes telling the difference between your racket and the test racket easier. If you find a racket that you demoed that you like a lot, the best thing you can do is go for it. You can confuse yourself by trying more rackets after you’ve already found a great one. The rackets today are all excellent and it’s hard to go wrong once you’ve found the appropriate category. Beginner’s Racket This category is the easiest to navigate. Some months back I created a Babolat Pure Strike VS 2022 review on my YouTube channel. Now it’s finally available for sale. I concluded my Babolat Pure Strike VS 2022 review positively. It’s great that Babolat brings back the Pure Control with a new name. A thinner beam, lower flex, leather grip and a 16×20 pattern will surely please a lot of control racquet lovers. The racquet plays with great feel and control, but it’s not without decent power. It’s a pretty demanding frame and you need to have solid technique and be a pretty advanced NTRP player to use it, but if you like this type of racquet, I’m sure you’ll enjoy the Babolat Pure Strike VS 2022. I tried the racquet with both Solinco Hyper-G Soft and Solinco Outlast at my usual reference tension around 51 lbs and enjoyed both setups. As expected, I got more spin potential with Hyper-G and more control from Outlast. You can buy the Babolat Pure Strike VS 2022 from Tennis Warehouse but it’s not yet available from Tennis Warehouse Europe or Tennis Only. Video review ? I sometimes use the “first impressions” expression, but if those impressions remain, I don’t bother to create a new review. I feel like I need to be a bit clearer about that or perhaps just create a full-scale review where my first feelings are enforced. Pure Strike VS Specs Head Size 97 in / cm Length 27in / Strung Weight / 332g Balance / / 7 pts HL Swingweight 322 Stiffness 63 Beam Width 21mm / 22mm / 21mm Composition Graphite Power Level Low-Medium Stroke Style Medium-Full Swing Speed Medium-Fast Racquet ColorsBlack/Orange Grip Type LEATHER! String Pattern 16 Mains / 20 Crosses Mains skip 7T,9T,7H,9H One Piece No Shared Holes I felt like the racquet needed a little bit of weight in the hoop to play with more plow-through and power. 2-3 grams at 12 did the trick for me. How does it play? If you tried old Babolat Pure Control racquets, this one plays in the same vein. Good control and feel a little bit firmer than most of the older ones, but not harsh by any means, great looks and playability for advanced players. I felt like the weight at 310 grams unstrung is close to perfect. It allows you some customization and maintains a good balance of being maneuverable yet stable. It’s a racquet to rival the HEAD Radical Pro and Boom Pro in a way, the Wilson Blade 98 18×20 and the Yonex VCORE Pro 97. For players who enjoy the Babolat Pure Strike 98 Gen 3, but want a softer feel and more control, the Pure Strike VS is a must-demo. Have you tried the Babolat Pure Strike VS 2022?

These are two racquets I’ve been enjoying recently and it’s time for a comparison review. The HEAD Extreme Tour vs Babolat Pure Aero VS. The modern game of tennis is a lot about generating topspin to make the ball dip inside the lines. There are plenty of extreme spin racquets out there and if you want to know about the best ones to maximize your topspin generation, check out this video and post The Best Racquets for Spin. In this video, I also talk about the best racquets for a mix of spin and control and that’s where this head-to-head is highly interesting. Both these racquets are on the list for my next match racquet of choice, the HEAD Extreme Tour vs Babolat Pure Aero VS. If you want to check my separate reviews, check out some of the links below. Babolat Pure Aero VS review Babolat Pure Aero VS compared to Pure Strike 98 HEAD Extreme Tour Nite Review Spec check These racquets spec out pretty closely, which is why it’s interesting to compare them. Babolat Pure Aero VS specs Head Size 98 in / cm Length 27in / Strung Weight / 320g Balance / / 6 pts HL Swingweight 321 Stiffness 67 Beam Width 21mm / 23mm / 22mm Composition Graphite Power Level Low-Medium Stroke Style Medium-Full Swing Speed Medium-Fast Racquet ColorsYellow/Metallic Silver Grip Type Syntec Pro HEAD Extreme Tour specs Head Size 98 in / cm Length 27in / Strung Weight / 323g Balance / / 6 pts HL Swingweight 318 Stiffness 65 Beam Width 22mm / 23mm / 21mm Composition Graphene 360+/Graphite Power Level Low-Medium Stroke Style Medium-Full Swing Speed Medium-Fast Racquet ColorsBlack Grip Type Hydrosorb Pro These racquets have a similar beam profile, stiffness, weight, swing weight and balance. They are both made for players who want some extra topspin potential and some power without going all the way to a regular Pure Aero or an Extreme MP. The key difference is the string pattern where the Extreme Tour is 16×19 and the Aero VS is 16×20. But they are both relatively tight patterns for spin racquets, so the level of topspin and launch angle is very similar. How do they play? ? I have played some of my best tennis in recent times with these two racquets and I find it difficult to say which one I like best. The Aero VS is a bit stiffer, which is something to take into account for players with sensitive elbows, but it’s not a harsh racquet in my experience. The power level is perhaps a tad higher with the Aero VS due to the stiffness, but they do play very closely there. The biggest difference in playability for me is how different they move through the air. The beam of the Aero VS is even more aerodynamic which makes it whip through the air even faster, but it perhaps doesn’t feel as natural on flatter shots. I notice this especially on my one-handed backhand, where the Extreme Tour is more natural. On the other hand, I feel like my forehand is whippier and probably even better with the Aero VS. Hmm… They are both excellent racquets on touch shots. I feel connected to the stringbed and have no issues on a deft volley with either frame. On serve, I got good pop on both racquets but perhaps a tiny bit more on the Pure Aero VS. It’s the stiffer layup and slightly thicker beam that does it. The slice feels a bit more natural to me with the Extreme Tour, where I feel like the Aero VS’ more extreme beam profile makes it not carve through the air quite as nicely as the Extreme Tour. Summary This is a TIGHT race. I could play a tournament match with either frame and be perfectly happy. My game is perhaps a bit more versatile with the Extreme Tour as I feel like my one-hander is better with that frame, but I get a bit more power on both my serves and forehands with the Aero VS, which is my bread-and-butter. Decisions, decisions! At the time of writing, I don’t know which one I would personally go for. I seem to enjoy and play well with both frames. They give me a bit more power and spin potential than my Prestige MP, which is exactly what I was looking for. These are not the only 98 sq inch spin racquets out there obviously. The Tecnifibre IGA Signature is also a nice option and the new VCORE 98 was definitely a good update although, that racquet is a bit too muted for my personal taste. I think both the Extreme Tour and the Aero VS are excellent examples of modern control racquets that have captured a serious fanbase. Just look at players like Musetti Extreme Tour and Alcaraz Aero VS. It’s rare that high-ranked pros play with currently available retail racquets but in this case, they do although they are obviously customized to their liking. I think that says a lot. Two great frames! Which one would you pick? You can buy these frames from Tennis Warehouse, Tennis Warehouse Europe, and Tennis Only through my links and I get a small commission if you do for which I say THANKS!.

A little backstory haven’t played tennis in a few years due to life and uni gradually getting back into it now and loving it!!I think it’s time to update my old head graphene radical pro 2015. The problem is I’m unsure what suits my play style best/ what is my play style but here’s a description if that helpsI love the baseline and hate going to net and actively avoid the net if I can. I enjoy working angles and pushing people off the court with heavy forehands. When given the option to do a drop shot or unexpected lob to throw an opponent off their tempo or just change the tempo of a rally I will. Sorry if that’s too general of a description of how I like to play…
